Earn more when you refer
The Medical Staffing referral scheme and these terms and conditions refer to any instances of a valid candidate referral to Medical Staffing. The bonuses outlined below are effective as of 1st January 2020. Any referrals made by the submission of a web form, in writing to a recruitment consultant or via telephone before this change, will receive the bonus amounts correct at the time of submission prior to 1st January 2020.
Definitions
1.1. Referrer: A person who recommends a potential new worker to Medical Staffing.
1.2. Recommendee: A new worker who has not previously worked for Medical Staffing or a worker who has not worked for Medical Staffing within the last 6 months.
1.3. Recommendation date: The date that the recommendation is received by Medical Staffing.
1.4. Qualifying criteria: The criteria that must be met by the Referrer and as set out at section 3.0.
1.5. Compliant: Medical Staffing follows Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) best practice guidelines. Under these guidelines, a new worker will need to meet our compliance standards. Once these standards have been met, the workers file is deemed to be compliant and therefore eligible to work.Scheme
2.1. The Medical Staffing recommendation scheme is applicable to Referrers who recommend qualified healthcare workers outlined in section 5.1.6. to work in the UK.
2.2. This scheme gives the Referrer the opportunity to receive bonus payments by recommending a friend to Medical Staffing and cannot be used in conjunction with any other recommend a friend scheme with Medical Staffing.
2.3. Not all Medical Staffing specialisms participate in a recommend a friend scheme. All participating specialisms are listed in section 5.1.6.
2.4. The cash bonus amounts listed in this scheme are subject to taxation.Qualifying criteria
3.1. The Referrer must have explicit consent from the Referee to provide their details to Medical Staffing.
3.2. Recommendations can also be made via telephone call to the Medical Staffing team and a record shall be retained by the consultant on file for the Referee to be validated.
3.3. The recommendation must include the recommendee’s name, profession and contact details.
3.4. The Medical Staffing team shall contact the Referee to verify their consent to be recommended, with the intention of securing them work.
3.5. For a recommendation to qualify, the Referee must pass the necessary checks to ensure they are compliant and eligible to work.
3.6. For a recommendation to qualify, the Referee must work in the profession listed in section 5.1.6.
3.7. The recommendation bonus will be payable once the Referee has worked the number of hours stated for their profession in a specified timeframe period listed in section 5.1.6.
3.8. Medical Staffing reserves the right to reject a recommendation bonus payment if:
3.8.1. The Referee has not provided consent to their personal data being submitted to Medical Staffing.
3.8.2. The Referee has not met any of the eligibility criteria listed out in these terms and conditions.
3.8.3. The Referrers are deemed to be internal members of staff, employed by Medical Staffing or any of its brands or group companies.
3.9. Medical Staffing reserves the right to vary the terms of this scheme at its discretion or cancel / discontinue the scheme without having to pay any outstanding claims, introduce a replacement scheme, offer compensation or inform workers.
3.10. Medical Staffing reserves the right to offer an alternative reward of the same value at any time.Bonus payments
4.1. Upon the recommendee’ reaching the required working hours for their profession, listed in section 5.1.6, the Referrer is entitled to claim the bonus amount.
4.2. It is the responsibility of the Referrer to claim their recommendation bonus payment by contacting the Medical Staffing team no later than four months after the Referee has completed the required hours for their profession listed in section 5.1.6.
4.3. All recommendation bonuses are subject to tax deduction. This will be deducted at source if the Referrer is a PAYE associate. If the Referrer is not a PAYE associate, they will be responsible for their own tax declaration. Bonus payments are non-transferable.Payment scheme
