Revalidation and Appraisals
As a leading temporary nurse provider, we pride ourselves in maintaining a high standard when it comes to compliance as we supply to many different environments. Compliance may seem to be long winded and complicated, therefore Medical Staffing aim to make the process as simple and as painless as possible in order to allow you to do what you do best, help patients. Each and every one of our candidates we place into medical jobs throughout the NHS exceed the Government Procurement Service (GPS), Health Trust Europe (HTE) and London Procurement Project (LPP) Framework Agreements standard.
So, what do you need to do?
Revalidation is the new process that all nurses and midwives in the UK will need to follow to maintain their registration with the NMC.
Taking effect from April 2016, revalidation is straightforward and will help you as a nurse or midwife demonstrate that you practise safely and effectively. It will encourage you to reflect on the role of the code in your practice and demonstrate that you are ‘living’ the standards set out within it.This new process replaces the Prep requirements, and you will have to revalidate every three years to renew your registration.
Medical Staffing will work alongside any agency nurse to ensure the revalidation is done in a timely and professional manner. We are able to support with organising CPD training, appraisal, reflective support and confirmation forms where our well-trained staff can then check and upload these documents directly to the NMC.
